The Greenville Check Into Cash business placed a box at the front of the store for donations.

The Greenville area Check Into Cash employees are teaming up with the Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center to provide meals for unfortunate families in the area. During the holiday season, the Check Into Cash business will have a box at the front of the store where anyone can bring canned food and nonperishable items to donate.

Donations will be taken up until November 21st, and then employees will take the food to Safe Harbor. The food will be distributed between families the Advocacy Center serves in the Butler County and Greenville area. Check Into Cash employees got the idea to give back through their personal giving, when they saw how much help was needed in their community.

“[It] really goes unnoticed. A lot of people don’t pay attention to the fact that there are people out there that need help. And we know that,” said manager Lateya Barganier. “So, we’re going to be making this an annual event for Safe Harbor in raising canned foods between October and November.”

Donations will be accepted during regular business hours. The store is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m, Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed on Sundays.
