The Tuskegee Police Department has charged 10 adults with organized retail theft.

Tuskegee Police Chief Gary Hicks says around 11:29 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a retail store in the 2800 block of West Martin Luther King Highway in reference to a theft.

Once they arrived, they determined that a group of people entered the store and stole multiple shopping carts full of merchandise, ranging from household goods, alcoholic beverages and laundry detergent, then left the business without paying.

Tuskegee investigators determined that 11 suspects were involved in the retail theft.

10 of the suspects have been identified and taken into custody. Each have been charged with Organized Retail Theft, a class B felony.

Chief Hicks tells Action 8 News that due to the nature of the ongoing investigation, the names of the suspects involved and charged have not been released at this time.

Tuskegee police still need your help in identifying the 11th person in the case.

Investigators have released a photo of the unknown male wearing a red shirt.
