Kathryn Tucker Windham Inducted into Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame

From the West Alabama Newsroom– Master story-teller, author and Selma native Kathryn Tucker Windham is now a part of the Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony was held Thursday at Judson College in Marion.
A bronze plaque of Windham will now grace the walls of the Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame.
The plaque was unveiled at the ceremony by Windham’s daughter Dilcy — and her son Ben.
“This is the 44th Induction Ceremony for the Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame, said Judson College President Dr. David Potts.
“We’ve had the privilege of inducting this wonderful woman, Kathryn Tucker Windham, a native of Selma, daughter of Alabama, a great, great teller of wonderful stories.”
Congresswoman Terri Sewell served as the keynote speaker at the ceremony.
