Meet Our Golden Apple Teacher of the Year

Alabama News Network has announced the winner of our 2014-15 Golden Apple Teacher of the Year award.
She is Gwendolyn Cosby, a teacher at Central High School in Lowndes County. Cosby has taught math for 37 years.
We surprised her with a surprise school assembly. The entire student body got to see her receive a bouquet of flowers, a Golden Apple plaque and a 42″ HDTV.
This year, more than 7,000 votes were cast on our website among the four finalists for our year-end award.
We congratulate Mrs. Cosby and all of the weekly winners of our Alabama News Network Golden Apple award.
