MONTGOMERY, AL — Top high school baseball players from the state of Alabama came to Riverwalk Stadium for round one of Team USA Baseball tryouts.

The tryouts were hosted by Tyler Courson from Next Level Baseball and the Milwaulkee Brewers scouting staff. The camp was part of the NTIS or the National Team Identification Series.

“This is really huge,” said Courson. “Last year from the state of Alabama we ended up sending nine guys to round three. They got a lot of exposure. A lot of college and pro scouts were watching them.”

From today’s first round, 20 players will advance to round two in hopes of making team USA or getting recognized by scouts.
