TUSKEGEE, AL — The Tuskegee football staff held it’s first football camp under head coach Willie Slater.
Over fifty local football players of all ages came out to Tuskegee to participate. They worked on fundamentals while throwing in football competitions throughout the camp.
“We’ve got a little camp going on. And it’s really our first one,” said Slater. “It’s kind of historic for us. We’ve got a good group of young men out here with us. They look like they want to work and learn.”
Coach Slater was happy about having this first camp and about the turnout. He said that it is a good sign for the future of tuskegee football camps.
“We have some faithfuls, and that’s good to see,” said Slater. “So this is the beginning, and I’m looking for something exciting for the next one we have.”
