MONTGOMERY, AL — Two Faulkner baseball players have signed contracts with Major League Baseball teams.
Outfielder Chris Madera signed with the Boston Red Sox. He had a .398 average last season with 56 stolen bases for the Eagles.
The second player was closer Alejandro Castro. He signed with the New York Mets. He had eleven saves and a 1.60 ERA for Faulkner last year.
Both players have been assigned to the rookie Gulf Coast League.
