Troy adds four more names to the coaching staff

The Trojans continue to fill out their coaching staff with the addition of Justin Manning, Trey Page, Darl Bauer, and Jon Heck.
Justin Manning
Manning joins the Troy Coaching Staff as the defensive line coach. Before taking the job at Troy, Manning served as the defensive coordinator at Tufts College for two seasons and coached at Duke for four seasons.
Last season, Manning’s defense sacked up 14th nationally allowing just 250.8 yards a game. Manning’s defensive also ranked 13th in passing defense only allowing 145.2 yards through the air a game, they were also ranked 5th in first down defense.
Manning did two different stents at Tufts College. During his first stent in 2016, he coached the cornerbacks.
Manning also did two different stents with the Duke Blue Devils as well. In 2021, Manning served as the special assistant to the head coach and defensive quality control as well as during the 2017-19 seasons. He also served as a football operations assistant where he worked mostly with the defense.
In 2020, Manning spent time as the defensive line coach at Eastern Illinois. And during 2015, he was a coaching intern with the NFL’s San Diego Chargers.
Trey Page
Trey Page will serve as a Defensive Analyst on the on the trojans coaching staff after two seasons as a graduate assistant at Troy.
During the 2023 season, Page worked with the offensive staff and mostly worked with the passing game. During the 2022 season, he served as a graduate assistant in the weight room.
Page played at Troy under head coach Larry Blakeney and Neal Brown from 2012-2015.
Darl Bauer
Darl Bauer joins the coaching staff at Troy as the Director of Strength Performance. Bauer comes to Troy with extensive coaching experience spending five years at Houston and ten seasons at West Virginia.
Jon Heck
Jon Heck joins the Trojans as the Assistant Director of Strength Performance. Before accepting this position at Troy, Heck spent one season with the Houston Texans which was his second at the NFL level. Heck spent the 2017 season with the Carolina Panthers on their strength and conditioning staff. Between his stents with the Panthers and the Texans Heck spent five seasons at North Carolina as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
