A very hot, humid Independence Day with some showers, storms
Three days into July, and the weather was the same each day. Very hot and humid, with a heat advisory covering at least part of our area. That continues July 4th. Some showers and storms formed Wednesday afternoon, but quickly faded away after sunset. Wednesday night looks dry but warm and humid with lows in the mid 70s. Thursday morning looks dry, but isolated to widely scattered showers and storms form during the afternoon.
Before cooling rain arrives, many locations could warm into the mid 90s. Meanwhile, heat indices peak near or above 105°. A heat advisory covers our entire area Thursday. Most of the rain should wind down by 9PM, the time many fireworks shows begin across our area.
