Pepsi Cola Bottling Company holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to Celebrate Company Expansion in Luverne

The Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, the oldest company in Crenshaw County, is expanding– nearly doubling its economic footprint in rural Alabama.
Governor Kay Ivy joined Luverne city leaders and the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company to celebrate the company’s expansion in Luverne Alabama marking more than 100 years of business in the city.
Luverne’s Pepsi Cola bottling company was founded in 1915 with just 3 employees. Its current facility was built in 1960 and operates with just one true loading dock producing four products. This new plant now has 14 loading docks producing 400 products. A far cry from the company’s original daily deliveries of lime cola.
In a group effort with the town of Luverne Pepsi Bottling Company a grant from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs the company is able to thrive. Nearly doubling their production space with a  brand new facility still rooted in Crenshaw County soil.
The Pepsi Cola Bottling Company employs 75 to 80 full time employees in South Alabama.
