Some clouds, no rain Sunday; Warm weather continues next week

Saturday morning was cool, but Saturday afternoon was very warm with high temperatures in the upper 70s. Saturday night looks mainly clear and milder with lows in the low to mid 50s. Sunday looks partly cloudy and very warm, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Sunday night could be a bit cooler, with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Next week remains very warm with above-average temperatures across central and south Alabama. Temperatures warm into the upper 70s each day, possibly into the low 80s in some locations Tuesday through Thursday. Overnight temperatures trend milder too, with lows in the mid 50s each night. Our area remains dry through Wednesday, with a mix of sun and clouds each day. Stray showers appear possible Thursday, but most locations remain dry.

Rain appears more likely Friday. Longer range models still hint that a cold front approaches Alabama at the end of next week. The front may stall across the southeast next weekend, keeping our weather unsettled in the southern half of the state. That means we may have at least some rain and cloudiness linger into next weekend. Otherwise, temperatures could be a bit cooler Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
