AT&T opens Connected Learning Center at Selma University

A new resource to help people bridge the digital divide — is now available at Selma University.

AT&T opened a new Connected Learning Center in the Stone-Robinson Library.

The center provides free access to high-speed AT&T Fiber internet — Wi-Fi — and Dell computers.

AT&T Alabama VP of External Affairs Cleo Washington, says the center will also provide free educational resources and mentoring.

“One of the other things we’ll do as part of that is give Selma University a gift of $50,000 dollars to support ongoing program for the Connected Learning Center. And we’ll actually come back in October and present 100 laptops,” said Washington.

The center is open to the public.

It’s the 100th CLC that AT&T has opened nationwide — and the second in Alabama.
