Cco3WunXIAA_aQjTwo Montgomery high school basketball stars were involved in a single vehicle car crash on I-65, in Chilton County today. Five people, identified as Montgomery Public School Students, were in the car at the time of the crash.

Robert E. Lee’s Roderic Scott and G.W. Carver’s Darian Adams were the two basketball players in the accident. Reports say they were headed to Jeff Davis girls’ state tournament basketball game in Birmingham.
The car rolled over, ejecting the three back seat passengers from the car. One passenger was ejected clear across southbound lanes, one landed in southbound lanes, and one landed close to vehicle. Neither of the back seat passengers were wearing seat belts.
Adams and Scott were two of the three that were ejected from the car.
The two front passengers were wearing seat belts and remained in the car.
All five passengers suffered injuries and were taken to Baptist South Hospital. One was taken by helicopter and the other four by ambulance.
Adams is reportedly doing fine but Scott is said to be in critical condition after suffering swelling of the brain.
Scott has been sedated and doctors are waiting for the swelling to go down before doing anything else.
The names of the other three passengers weren’t released.
