Today marks a very special anniversary for the Tuskegee Airmen. It’s been 75 years since the start of the Tuskegee experience. The group of black pilots and personnel stood up for their rights during a time of segregation, and fought in World War Two.
The city of Montgomery and Tuskegee honored the airmen who changed the course of American history. Nine other surviving Airmen came together for the 75th anniversary of the start of the Tuskegee Airmen.
The ceremony started with a welcome, followed by a flyover that included a F-16 Fighter Jet.
Today Moten Field is a historic site and commemorates the contributions of African American Airmen in World War Two.
