ASF’s “A Christmas Carol” set to Kick Off Holiday Season
A beloved Montgomery tradition is back again with some new and some familiar faces.
The beloved Charles Dicken’s story tells the tale of Scrooge in search for redemption and a spectacular, magical evening of ghosts, spirits, festivity and goodwill.
“Scrooge, First Act, is the meanest person on earth. And by the end of the show, he is outrageously happy. People ask me, ‘how do you do that everyday?’ By the end of the show, I feel so good. I am not warn out. I have the Christmas spirit in me by then,” said “Scrooge” played by Rodney Clark.
“It’s about learning to open your heart and accept people around you for who they are and understand in a profound way that the joy that comes from Christmas is not so much a matter of how much you get…. But how much you allow yourself to give,” said “Charles Dickens” played by Paul Hebron.
This year’s production once again will partner with the Montgomery Humane Society to feature dogs up for adoption as part of the production. Local pastors are also rotating out the role of the Vicar.
Performances for “A Christmas Carol” will begin November 20th and run through Christmas Eve. Click here, for ticket information.
