“We are continuing to work,” Head Coach Brian Jenkins said. “We haven’t lost faith, haven’t lost belief, we’re still going to work to win and we’re going to stay the course.”
“We knew coming into this thing it was going to be tough and I admire the players because they haven’t shown one bit of regret. They have not taken a step back. They have showed up for practice with a great attitude and great effort and they are continuing to work to gain a victory.”
If there is one thing Jenkins is preaching at practice this week is to finish the game.
“Finish, that’s the bottom line we have to finish, we have to play and finish” Jenkins said. “It’s just like a fight. You have to start the fight, you’ve got to carry the fight and you have to finish the fight. Looking at the film on Grambling they are definitely a team we are going to have to finish on.”
The game is being sponsored by Prince Hall Masons Americanism Football Classic. It is the second season for the Classic which the Hornets won over Tennessee State last season.
