The line of rain/storms was on the leading edge of a cold front, which pushes through our area Thursday night. The sky quickly clears behind the front, with brisk north winds ushering in cooler air through Friday morning.
The warming trend continues Wednesday, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. Our area remains dry with a partly to at times mostly cloudy sky.
Temperatures were already near or below freezing by 8PM Sunday evening, and fall way below freezing through early Monday morning, with lows near 20°, and wind chills in the 10s.
Very cold air arrives in central and south Alabama Sunday. Temperatures may fall from around 60° midnight Saturday night into the 30s to low 40s by sunrise Sunday.
