Showers and storms were already scattered across southwest Alabama Friday morning. They remain scattered about during the afternoon, and may translate east of I-65 to include locations that were mainly dry through midday.
Temperatures likely warm into the low 90s, with heat indices near 100° Thursday. Showers and storms become scattered about during the afternoon, dropping temperatures in many locations through the evening.
Rain chances look higher again for the rest of the week. However, rain coverage was low through midday Wednesday, with just isolated showers or storms drifting south on either side of highway 43.

AL93, the area of low pressure located near the Mississippi/Louisiana coast Thursday afternoon, looks unlikely to become a tropical cyclone. Nonetheless, impacts to central and south Alabama remain the same- enhanced chances for rain for the rest of the week, into the weekend.
