Temperatures high, rain chances low through Labor Day weekend
Thursday looks like another hot day, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and higher heat indices. Fortunately, heat indices remain just below 105° for most of the afternoon, so there is no heat advisory for our area. Isolated showers and storms form during the afternoon and linger into the evening. However, like Wednesday, some locations miss out on cooling rain.
Wednesday night becomes mostly clear with lows in the low to mid 70s. Friday’s weather looks very similar to Thursday. Temperatures warm into the mid 90s, with isolated afternoon showers or storms. In fact, our weather looks about the same through Labor Day. Temperatures warm into the mid 90s each day, while daily rain coverage remains isolated.
Rain chances rise at least slightly around the middle of next week. A frontal boundary stalls across the southeast, fueling widely scattered showers and storms Tuesday, Wednesday, and perhaps Thursday. Meanwhile, temperatures may trend lower, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s each day.
