Frost again Saturday night, Mainly sunny and warmer Sunday

Winter-like cold continued Saturday across central and south Alabama. Many locations fell to freezing (32°) or just below it by sunrise Saturday. However, sunshine was abundant, so afternoon high temperatures rebounded into the low and mid 60s. Although, Saturday night looks cold again. With a clear sky, light to calm winds, and lows in the mid to upper 30s, frost formation looks likely.

After a cold start to the day, Sunday becomes pleasantly warm with highs approaching 70°. The sky remains mainly sunny throughout the day. Sunday night remains milder, with lows only in the mid 40s. Monday looks even warmer, as winds increase out of the south. Highs range from the mid to upper 70s. Another front arrives Tuesday, producing scattered rain, at least during the morning. The front may not cool temperatures much.

Clouds linger with perhaps a few showers Wednesday. Another weather system likely develops across the deep south Wednesday night into Thanksgiving. A cold front arrives in Alabama Thursday, with more rain and perhaps storms in our area. The front pushes to our southeast Thursday night, ushering in drier weather and colder temperatures for the rest of the holiday weekend. High temperatures may only be in the 50s to low 60s Friday through Sunday.
