However, Thursday should turn into a pleasant mid-January day, with abundant sunshine, and high temperatures in the low 60s. Wind speeds range from 6 to 12 mph out of the west. Thursday night looks mainly clear and cold with light winds, so we could see frost again overnight. Temperatures fall into the low 30s.
Friday begins mainly sunny, though clouds increase late. Temperatures look fairly warm, with highs in the low to mid 60s. Clouds increase further Friday night, with showers arriving in west Alabama during the late evening. Rain becomes more widespread and intense Friday night into Saturday morning. Some thunder may occur, but any storms we see remain sub-severe.
Saturday afternoon looks drier, and could be partly sunny. Temperatures may be fairly warm as a result. However, much colder air arrives Saturday night into Sunday. High temperatures, only in the mid to upper 40s, may occur early Sunday morning. Temperatures may fall during the day. Sunday night looks very cold, with lows in the low to mid 20s and wind chills in the 10s.
