More Rain, Then Cooler

TONIGHT: The strong to severe storms are now east of us and our weather settles down tonight.  A few areas of light to moderate rain will be possible, otherwise look for mostly cloudy skies with temps in the 50s overnight.

REST OF THE WEEK: Unsettled weather will continue the rest of the week. Severe weather won’t be a problem, but I can’t say flooding won’t. Tuesday will be mainly cloudy, with scattered showers. Then an upper-level feature will approach the region and draw moisture north out of the Gulf of Mexico again. Widespread showers and storms will return Tuesday night and rain and a few storms will be continue into Wednesday. It should end behind a cold front Thursday morning, but not before another 1-3 inches of rain falls.

HELLO 2016: The New Year will start off on a much brighter and colder note. Behind the late week front, drier and much cooler weather will arrive and continue through the weekend. Highs will be in the 40s and lower 50s. Lows will be in the 30s. Look for many locations to flirt with freezing both mornings this weekend and into next week.
