Frank M. Johnson Institute to hold conference on using historic court cases in the classroom

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Frank M. Johnson, Jr. Institute will soon host a multi-day conference on how to incorporate historic court cases into middle and high school instruction.

The conference will take place June 9-11 at the Frank Johnson Courthouse in Montgomery.

Organizers say the three-day event will allow educators to take a look at the Constitutional arguments of landmark court cases from the Civil Rights Era.

Action 8’s Abby Payne sat down with Executive Director Thomas Rains to learn more about this year’s conference. You can watch that interview above.

Registration for the conference is now closed, but if you want to learn more about the event, click here.
