The system responsible for the storms has departed our area. High pressure takes its place and our weather is quiet for the next several days. You can expect mostly sunny, dry, and cooler conditions. Mornings start out in the 30s while afternoon temps manage to climb into the mid to upper 50s. Our uneventful weather pattern continues into the weekend but next week looks a little more interesting. A few clipper systems will come down from the north bringing shots of colder air our way. Moisture tries to accompany a few of them so we can’t rule out sprinkles at times. The air will be cold enough just north of us for flurries. Bottom line, it’s going to get much colder around the middle of next week. We may experience lower 20s overnight with highs only in the mid 40s. Winter is still in full force around the deep south but I will say data suggesting a warm up around the middle of the February.
