SEC Media Days: Smart, Jones, Sumlin and Mullen on Day Two
Alabama News Network is in Hoover for SEC Media Days. Day two featured the head football coaches from Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Mississippi State.
New Georgia coach Kirby Smart is the former defensive coordinator at Alabama. Sports Director Vince Lennon asked John Longshore whether Smart is already getting comfortable in the job even though he hasn’t yet coached a game.
For Tennessee coach Butch Jones, the question is whether this is the year that the Vols return to prominence in the SEC East.
Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin faces questions about job security and whether he can deliver consistent victories without his former star quarterback Johnny Manziel.
And Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen faces questions of his own involving his players.
