Montgomery County Commissioners Help Families of Missing Persons

Montgomery County deals with countless missing persons cases every year. It’s an issue that hit home for one mother who lost her child a few years ago. With the help of city leaders she’s fighting to make sure families won’t suffer the same pain she’s going through.

Pam Riley Boldin is one of those family members, her daughter, Laquanta Riley went missing in 2003, and now she’s receiving a big boost from Montgomery County Commissioners to help families find their loved ones. Boldin started the Riley Relief Foundation. It’s designed to help families of missing and exploited persons find their loved ones. Boldin’s Foundation also caught the attention of law enforcement across the state. She holds training for law enforcement on finding better ways to find missing persons, as well as several events for the city’s annual Missing Person’s Day. Last year, the Montgomery County Commission gave the Riley Relief Foundation $2,500 to fund last years missing persons events. This year they’ve doubled that, giving $5,000 from the county’s benevolent fund.

Events for the foundations Missing Person’s Day starts December seventh. If you would like to donate to the foundation go to your local Wells Fargo Bank and ask to donate to the Riley Relief Foundation.
