Church Volunteers Help Selma Cleanup Storm Damage
Over 600 volunteers with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from Alabama, Florida, and Georgia were in Selma Saturday helping with tornado cleanup efforts.

Carrington Cole is a Reporter/MMJ for WAKA Action 8 News. She also works in the Creative Services Department editing station promotion and commercials.
Carrington was born and raised in Montgomery and has always dreamed of working in the media industry. She is a 2019 Auburn University graduate with a degree in Visual Media and a minor in Theatre.
Carrington interned with WSFA in Montgomery and War Eagle Productions while finishing her bachelor’s degree. She moved to Atlanta after graduating college where she worked in a production company before moving back to Alabama in 2020.
She has been working with WAKA since May 2021 and has been excited to learn more about the media industry.
When she’s not working, Carrington loves shopping for clothes and getting new books to read. At home, she’s usually curled up with her cat while watching a horror movie.

Pike Road Nutrition is a healthy smoothie and juice bar where customers can order from a variety of healthy drinks full of vitamins, nutrients, and protein.
While the Titus Community was trying to clean up from last week's tornado damage, another EF2 tornado hit the area causing even more damage to the community.
"I'm proud to work for each of you as your Governor and I believe you can do anything if you just put your minds to it," stated Governor Ivey.
Crew members are having to work double time to cleanup and fix all the damages across the city.
Evidence of the violent storm can be seen all around the Titus area after the tornado crossed over Lake Jordan.

The Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department hosted the Flatwood Community's Christmas lunch at the Sheridan Heights Community Center.
The new development will give children in the community opportunities to participate in youth sports and family activities at the YMCA.
Governor Ivey opened the Governor's Mansion for candlelight tours today.
