They are the first people on the scene; whether it’s a car accident, a fire, or a health emergency, when you are in trouble, they are the heroes that come to the rescue. Wettermark & Keith and Alabama News Network want to honor our local First Responder Heroes. We invite residents of the River Region to nominate a worthy first responder. Qualifying first responders should be active members of emergency service organizations within the Alabama News Network viewing area. They may be paid or volunteers. Emergency service organizations include police departments, sheriff departments, fire departments, ambulance services and other emergency response/rescue services. The nomination essay should include the name of the individual being nominated and explain why they are deserving of the award. Thank you for being part of this exciting program as we honor those who serve our communities.
