A HEAT ADVISORY remains in effect until 9PM Friday 8/14/26 for central Alabama, and on Thursday 8/13/26 for southwest Alabama. Peak heat index values reach or exceed 105° each afternoon.
Tuesday afternoon remains very hot with high temperatures in the mid 90s and higher heat indices. Only isolated showers or storms appear possible through Tuesday evening.
The sky remains partly cloudy outside of showers/storms Monday, with high temperatures in the mid 90s. Meanwhile, heat indices peak generally near or slightly below 100°.
Additional showers and storms form Friday afternoon, with rain coverage somewhere between isolated and widely scattered through the early evening. Otherwise, expect a partly cloudy sky with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s.
More rain develops Thursday afternoon, but coverage remains isolated. Otherwise, expect typical summer heat with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s and peak heat indices closer to 100°.
Temperatures were already on either side of 90° at midday Wednesday in the dry spots, and may approach the mid-90s during the afternoon. Although, isolated showers/storms may cool some locations down through the early evening.
