Thursday morning was fairly sunny across much of central and south Alabama. However, clouds may increase somewhat Thursday afternoon. Isolated to widely scattered showers and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder appear possible.
Temperatures were already in the upper 70s and low 80s prior to midday. High temperatures range from the mid to upper 80s, with a couple low 90° readings possible.
Tuesday afternoon feels more like late May than early April. High temperatures range from the mid to upper 80s. Isolated showers appear possible, but most locations remain rain-free.
Additional storms may develop Monday afternoon and early evening as instability increases. There could be an ample amount of instability to support at least a few severe storms.
The sky could be mostly cloudy for much of Friday. However, afternoon temperatures trend even warmer than Thursday. Highs range from the low to mid 80s Friday, thanks in part to a south wind of 10 to 15 mph.
Thursday morning begins cool with lows in the low to mid 40s. However, the sky remains mainly sunny throughout the day, and high temperatures soar into the mid and upper 70s.
Despite a mostly cloudy sky on average, Wednesday remains rain free. Clouds depart Wednesday night, and temperatures cool into the low and mid 40s again.
More rounds of rain and storms move through our area today through early Monday morning. Some storms could be strong to severe.
Severe storms remain possible Friday night through early Saturday morning. However, the severe risk area and risk level from the storm prediction center has decreased since Thursday’s outlook.
